The name is Astrid, I'm 29 years old and I’m a self-taught multi-media artist from Belgium. From Mechelen, to be more exact, a lovely little city with lots of inspiring architecture & cultural history and many amazing fellow creatives!
I work as a community manager during the daytime, but in my spare time I paint with watercolors, create pixel art, make that into cross stitches and I also crochet cozy, colorful items. I'm inspired by what I see around me, the books I read, the movies I see, the music I listen to and so much more.

My art tends to be colorful and cute, because it's an outlet for me to destress (and sometimes even tackle more sensitive subjects). I believe it's important to start conversations on topics like anxiety and chronic illness, though, which is why I try to work those themes into my art whenever they fit.
That being said: I've got handmade crocheted goodies, cross-stitched original designs and other creative shenanigans, so I hope you have a lot of fun browsing and creating your own pieces as well!
